If you've always been curious to try Linux, but scared of the installation process (my installation resulted in a 200Gb data loss. Enought to almost make a grown man cry!) there is an install-free alternative: Linux Live CDs. Steps to experience Linux with a Live CD:
- Download the Linux CD image (iso) from the sites of your choice; some are listed below.
- Burn the iso into a CD or DVD with a CD burning software e.g. Nero
- Start your computer with the Live CD in the CD tray (Linux will autoboot from the CD)
- Start experiencing the joys (or not) of Linux, simple!
