New: Google Notebook
Google is really on a roll this past few weeks.
Another new thing from Google! and if it works as planned, it may benefit a lot of people, really.
Latest from Google Labs is Google Notebook, which offer similar functions the widely acclaimed Firefox Scrapbook extension. Google Notebook features:
add snippets of text, images and links to your Google Notebook within your browser
drag-and-drop interface for organising your notes
This is why I think it's slightly more useful than Scrapbook: Access Google Notebook from ANY computer using a Google Accounts login.
Share your notes with everyone in the world (if you want to, that is) by clicking on the "Make Public" button.
A search Google Notebook will soon be available.
Imagine being able to share study notes with your peers and friends online. A great idea!

Dear Ichi...
Hmm great new tool... the problem is my office pc does not allow me to install firefox (damn), the current OS service pack does not allow me to use USB ports and the web administrator does not allow me to dload firefox directly... even google notebook for IE I am unable to successfully dload (allows me to start but not finish) - curse you IT support :(
Any way, my plant is still down and I have been awake for the last 48 hours... my body is so pumped up with caffiene at the moment...
Ah well... beats staying at home staring at the cicak on the ceiling I guess..
I have installed Oblivion... just don't know when to start.

i was laughing reading you cursing IT support, i cannot say i share your sentiments but you're right: IT support is a slight nuisance as they restrict what you can/cannot use.
as for being up for the past 48 hours, when i was taking my exams i was slept for only 4-5 hours. then i didn't sleep for the next 24 hours. had another 4-5 hours sleep and I'm oncall again tonight.
everyone is saying i look tired tonight (people rarely say that)
whoops i have to transport a sick patient to a different hospital 40 minutes away. OH NO!
itte kimasu!
It's a great tool to compare notes (literally) with other people. The thing is, it'd work better with a strong support group i.e. friends who use it enthusiastically too.
Maybe I'll give it a shot. Later.
And yes, I curse IT support too.

This sounds really useful. I might just explore it...
if you guys make notes on anything, do let me know. i use the firefox extension scrapbook VERY EXTENSIVELY especially since i was recently sitting an exam. I couldnt be happier with scrapbook but the only issue i have is: if i save bookmarks on one computer, i couldnt use my notes on say, a computer at work. I'm glad google has offered an alternative. one that allows the notes to be accessed from anywhere.
if you guys do use google notebook please share your impressions here. (also, share your notes! esp. hiyoshi). as medics (oh, and scientists) pooling notes is a great way to learn.
