Today in the coffee room, my Registrar was again sharing one of his stories:
One day when he was oncall in the Medical Assessment Unit, he urgently needed a nurse for assistance with a poorly patient. Coming upon one he asked, referring to sections of the MAU, "Hi Nurse, are you looking after patients on the right side or the left today?" Nurse answered, "I'm looking after both sides". My registrar, a Malaysian still unfamiliar with English expressions , cluelessly asked "Oh, does that mean you swing both ways?"
