Slipstreaming Windows XP

Slipstreaming is the process of adding Service Pack 2 to your original Windows XP CD, creating a boot disk that installs Windows XP complete with Service Pack 2. This will save you the time of re-downloading and re-installing the Service Pack everytime you need to reinstall Windows.

What you need:
1. Installation CD of Windows XP
2. Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. Download here.
3. ISO Buster. Download here
4. Nero. Download here.

I originally wanted to outline the steps here, but they're quite complicated and long! You could find step-by-step guides here:
  1. maximumpc.com
  2. theeldergeek.com
  3. winsupersite.com
This weekend one of my projects will be to create a Slipstream WinXP CD. I'll try and post up any interesting info.
Wish me luck!
