Milestone: 1000th Page View

I kept anxiously looking at my page counter today, as it slowly ticked to 1000. This means that 8 days since the counter was set Itchiness has already been viewed 1000 times.

Some Itchy statistics:

  • Has been viewed by around 100 unique people so far
  • Around 40 returning views each day

It's an important milestone for me and I would really like to thank all the readers for enduring the journey full of poor grammar, atrocious spelling errors, distasteful videos, arguable reviews and not to mention amateurish photography. I hope you have enjoyed reading Itchiness as much as I have writing for it. Thank you for leaving all the funny, inappropriate yet sometimes insightful comments. Most of all to the regular readers Kenakelayan, O-K, Auntie De, DITH (yup, you're a regular now), Dyanna, Mama Sarah and a special mention to Uncle De as he's the 1000th reader! (at least I think so, as you left the last comment before the counter reached 1000). You guys make the blog, my friends.

I also would like to thank all the other readers who frequent the blog more discreetly, hopefully I'll have more things to talk about in the future!
I'm going to do something really cheesy now: dedicate a song. This song is for you fellow readers; Arigatou by Home Made Kazoku

Lyrics and translation here

I am still looking for two things: a suitable picture and a punchy description of the blog to put in the header. Would anyone care to suggest any? (even funny or silly posts are most welcome!)

Arigatou Mynn-san for the video. It is a pleasure stalking your's and Mama Sarah's blog. I was originally pointed towards MS's by OK, and only realised you had a blog too when MS mentioned it.

Some suggestions for your blog description:

'Some itches are best left alone..'

'I scratch your back, you scratch mine'

'One good itch deserves another'

'Scratching makes the world go round'

'What would I be without your itch, baby?'

'The world is divided into two: those who scratch their itches and those who don't'

'Feel good. Scratch that Itch Today'

'Have you Scratched your Itch Today?'

Okay I'll stop here. Obviously I need my cuppa hot chocolate. :)

Akum Ichi. Congrats on the 1000 number...

Doing my bit for society at the moment.. I am spreading the luv.. Feel a bit upset as my PDA has died on me.. damn.. Dear, macam mana nak buat ni.. any way, rasa kena gi KL to get it fixed..

Really love that PDA as it has got all my appointments and stuff.. Now need to go back to old school style... paper..

Been trying to get some good shots but failed.. i had one good sunset scenery butI was rushing to get home so could not stop (needed to answer the call of nature) ah well.. maybe next time..

Had a conversation with a friend yesterday, asked me what I wanted to do.. I said out of the blue.. maybe jaga lorry.. The friend was appalled.. he said "with your skills why go and do something obscure like that?!"

I smiled and answered "Number one.. I would be going home to my wife (jaga lorry di Kuantan). Secondly, bukan jaga lorry bodoh2. I want to create a network/consortium of lorries, using Kuantan as a commercial hub... bla bla bla.."

So i outlined a plan where lorries would be based in Kuantan and used to send products to the west coast, but instead of coming back empty (as thy usually do), it comes back with goods for other companies, I would charge cheaper than what they had previously as I would be backhauling. I would have a workshop for all the lorries as it would be expensive to fix outside.

There is money to be gained from that... now all i need is a financial backer.

Hmm one can always dream....

Regards

dear queen of slogan writer, terer nya!! i like the 1st one best. some itches are best alone. sedap telinga dengar. sesedap lidah menyebutnya.

my initial blog audiences were the grandparents of sarah and amar. i ingat senang nak upload gambar kat situ with some cerita. save me time to write different emails to everyone. i dont know why but i tak suka flickr dan fotopages.

oo-ooh, my comment pun dah jadi panjang2 jugak ni.

before i stop, to OK, scratch that dream, man..

p/s:

1. you guys may find repetitive stories or pictures on our blogs. As both sides of the grandies do not know about mynn's blog. he wanted to keep it a secret kononnya. kalau tak diaorang tahu he hasn't been studying sort of thing lah tu.

my blog is mainly about sarah and amar, dan sekitarnya. khas utk para tok nenek.

2. to OK; scratch that dream. scratch as in kasi layan the dream. not the other meaning.

Also Sir OK, can't help but to feel sorry for you. First it was your laptop. The story was funny. I ketawa baca. tapi rosak tetap rosak.

then it was your mobile phone right? Now it's your PDA? aduh, besarnya dugaan. kalau terjadi pada zaman tengah student, sure dah nangis.

i wonder what next, D50? jaga elok2 ya?

man KKL, you're so good at writing these punchy oneliners. I've trying to get a good one for the past 2 months!

Like MS said, my parents (i think) don't know of my blog, mainly for the risque content (fook yew, you.hoe, voluptious concealment & unstable angina to name but a few). for a more family friendly blog i encourage them to head over to mama sarah's blog hehehe.

O-K, which pda do you mean? oh, i remember the o2 XDA. did it serve you well?
nowadays, why not use google calendar for your schedule needs. especially as you could synchronise with outlook, and it'll always be there on the net, it's a good option rather than resort to paper (having said that, low tech = best tech)

This is for uncle & auntie de and O-K, you guys need to start a blog!!! seriously o-k, if i just cut and paste everything you write into a new blogger page, you'll have sort of a blog already. blogs do not necessarily consume alot of time as most people update their blogs around once/week anyway and if you're short of time, short entries are still fine.

come on auntie & uncle de ...!

ps. mama sarah asked me, tulisan jepun tu what does it mean. answer = arigatou (thank you).

Ahh Ichi... still the bad rest hygiene I see.. much like my KKL nowadays.. all alone surrounded by pristine clean lab equipment.

Hehe..

I had to come in early today.. had to "berleter" to a supervisor who let his subordinate write a malicious email.

Not the best thing to do in the morning and not something I enjoy.

However, when we are working as a team malicious email of that nature is detrimental to the cohesiveness of the family.

Thus I had to take drastic action so that no drastic action was taken on the guy.

Let me explain. My Sr Mgr wanted to get rid of the guy (yeaps he sent it to the SM). I intervene as I knew the guy had some redeeming qualities. So as I compromise I had to move him to a different shift. (Bila tak tahu lagi)

hehe..

To MS.. thank you for the nice comments.. will take everthing into advisement.

Yeaps.. my laptop gone (muntah nyer pasal)... tapi tak nak beli as KKL dah ada laptop (one is enough - for now). Then my desktop rosak.. fixed it (RM 250 - new mboard - I was quite good not getting a new AMD 64 FX60 hehehehe), now the XDA IIi dah rosak... it was serving me very well, keeping me up to date on all my meetings.. and tasks..

Then it went kaput.. kept on crashing -damn you Bill Gates! - and now mati langsung..

Kalau zaman student dulu dah menangis gila2... i still need a PDA... and i loved my XDA...

ah well..

hehe another looooonnngg comment..

gotta go back to work now..

Regards

Dearest OK,

What happened to your old Palm? Is that not still useable?
Anyway this lorry business is something new yea? I thought the plan was for me to become a career woman (sarari-wooman) while you become a stay at home hubby-cum-long-haired author of blockbuster fantasy novels. Once you hit the New York Times Bestseller list, I move into part-time hours so that we can homeschool our kids. I can teach them self-defence while you can teach them the rest, heheh. I'll do all the cooking by then.

I think I am learning a lot about management just listening to what you have to go through each day.

BTW what is bad rest hygiene?

Mynn and Mama Sarah
The phone and the PDA were one. I guess that's the caveat with having combined gadgets.

BTW when I dloaded the new iTunes, it couldn't find my playlist. Noooo. Does this mean I have to construct a new one? Argh.

Cute song isn't it? Bleach has many good OPs/EDs.

Dyanna
thanks for your suggestion:) what is cheesy, the song dedication or the line you suggested? hehehe. i see you've updated your page & finally decided on fotopages. i may make an account as well soon.

KKL
Bad sleep hygiene basically means not sleeping properly e.g. sleeping very late (note time of entries on my blog), or sleeping very little. some people stay infront of their computers too much, that they tend to sleep less.

Thanks for visiting & putting in a comment. I visit your site almost everyday, waiting for you to put up another anime/movie review (as you can see, i have a link to your blog from mine). I like the My Pace song too, it's very cute. but my favourite Bleach ending is Arigatou -- 1. I like the meaning of the song, thanking everyone significant and 2. the song came out during an event in my life (hehehe) hearing that song brings me back to that time.

OK
my pda was a valuable tool during my oncalls, as i have a textbook installed (Oxford handbook of Medicine, PDA version). Now i refer less to the pda as i've come to remember many of the emergency protocols (from oncall experience). I hope you'll be able to repair it. Uncle De also uses a similar type of pda.

ps
just in case you guys are wondering (and more dangerously, speculating) the "event" is just my sister coming to visit UK.
