Podcast Review: Japanese 101

If you're learning Japanese and looking for resources, you're in luck. I've recently discovered Japanese101, one of the best podcasts available for learning Japanese, and it's totally free!

Despite at no cost, the quality of the podcast is excellent. The voice is clear and distinct, the teaching topics are relevant and fun. Advertisements are minimal and not annoying.

There are two native Japanese speakers, one male and one female, so rest assured the pronounciations are authentic. The main teacher is Pete, an American (do I detect a slight New York accent?) Just don't mind him, to my ears he does sound slightly too cheerful (read: gay) and strange (read: queer), but he is the life of the podcast.

The lessons are interesting and always on a lighter tone, so learning is always fun. It is a brilliant podcast not to be missed by anyone learning Japanese.

Another reason why it's the best - there are lecture notes on their site.

Simply brilliant.
