Omedeto!!

Congratulations on the new purchase! I thought it's really funny you put "ureshii" on the screen. LOL, very appropriate. I wonder what are the features of this "Wordtank"??

School Rumble Season 2 has started! In season 1 my favourite characters were Harima and Erin chan. This season it's Yakumo. (Credit: Allthingschill.com)

Actually I almost bought the latest wordtank, which was wayyyyy more expensive _/-\o. But after consultation with my flatmate (U know who, tp i want to keep her anonymous), I decided on this one (^-^). I prefer the wordtank coz u can have english menus. My jap still not that good to be owning a denchijisho that's wholly in japanese. I thought this wordtank suited my needs. It was not too expensive considering that it probably cost about the same if you buy all the dictionaries that's in the denchijisho, with the convenience of having all of those in your palm. You can do search from eng-jap, jap-eng, eng-eng (which I also find useful, sekarang dah malas nak bukak normal dictionary (^_^)) and jap-jap (I was intimidated to use this as first, but I was surprised how useful this feature can be sometimes, although I had to do quite a lot of 'jumping'). The kanji search is also great (I love the stroke order animation) and there's also katakana search. There's a lot of other dictionaries out there, it just depends on your preference. Seiko is also one of the best, but canon wordtank is popular with foreigners. You can buy them from a lot of online stores but I bought mine on ebay. It was the cheapest at that time. Considering the price, I would only recommend this for serious learners of japanese. If you're not, pakai online dictionary je. I was using that for a long time until I felt that I needed something more.

thanks:) i think that's quite a strong recommendation for the wordtank. glad you've finally decided on one after looking for so long. especially since the exams are over I think you well deserve one, well done! I hope the wordtank is not too large, as in your pictures it's difficult to judge the size. I also kind of feel the price is abit expensive, since you said: "Considering the price, I would only recommend this for serious learners of japanese."

ps - ive only just finished watching the latest of School Rumble S2, I was laughing till Amar terjaga kat atas! (very bad of me).

anyway seriously, it's wonderful you've finally bought your dictionary. (dictionaries with e-ink are coming out soon:p)
