Dear guys.. have you ever had to do something or been told to do something that ethically you feel is wrong and the entire fibre of your being is at a moral crossroad wondering which path to choose?
Well today I have been told to do just that. Remember I posted (hehe) before that I was doing some rewriting of some of the people in my company's justification.. Why me? Well I can turn some piece of Cr#$ somebody has written into something smelling like a bunch of roses.
Any way, today I had to do or redo a justification for someone who deep down inside I know did not deserve the two rating. When i completed the rewrite i compared the two, one the original written by the bas#@$% himself and the second was my rewrite. Essentially they were telling the same story but they were vastly different. The original implicated other people as being incompetant and the guy being some big hero. The rewrite paints a picture of a benign person who's only care in the world is to ensure everything runs smoothly and everyone is happy.
So i did the only thing I can do. Scrapped the rewrite and resent the original.
As the original was written by the person himself it is a reflection of what goes on in that person's soul. At least let other people read his story and judge for themselves. I for one will know that tonight I can sleep with a clear conscience.
I think gut feelings are crucial to this. The fact that you had to pretty up other people's 'trumpet blowing' in itself sounds pretty murky to me. i just hope those people who are reading the original are not taken in.

Back to topic. I have a headache (due to eating an overly sweet egg-shaped MilkyBar filled with strawberry fondant). There is a can of coke on my desk. I am also in possession of a pack of hot cross buns. Very seasonal.
Now does Coca Cola get rid of headaches? I think the can is calling out to me. I am trying to ignore it by drinking water.
To O-K do i need to quote spiderman on you? i'll spare you the torture;)
To those who don't know: For Easter, In the UK we all have a long weekend starting friday, ending on monday. so that's a 4 day break from work.
Easter is also a time when they eat lots of eggs, made of chocolate. you can get a huge variety of eggs depending on whether it's cadbury, galaxy, mars, tiny tots etc. my current favourite is the mini smarties and the mini-mars-bar eggs.
to KKL, chocolates may well trigger migraine. Colas, in a way could relieve headaches if for example you are physiologically dependent on the caffeine. time to quit my friend, time to quit. Paradoxically, caffeine could also trigger headaches.
ps. i'm never quitting tea, just lessening the number of cups:)
i think because cafergot (in ergotamine) has alpha adrenergic antagonist and serotonin antagonist effects (causing constriction of peripheral and cranial blood vessels).
but apparently caffeine stimulates the same channels activated by amphetamines, cocaine and heroin (hence the addictiveness) and causes cardiac stimulation (tremor, anxiety, palpitations)
-LOL- mungkin therapeutic window kot, in excess, many things are harmful (a theory)
you are right DITH, kitorang semua cuti so this weekend it will be the unfortunate oncall doctors on duty. they consist of one consultant, one registrar, one senior senior house officer, two house officers and one pre-registration house officers (or more concisely one Cons, SPR, SSHO, 2 x SHO, one PRHO)
i'm one of the lucky ones NOT working this weekend:)
alhamdulillah dpt cuti. last year i was very unlucky - i was practically working ALL the public holidays - raya, xmas, easter, nisak's bday, my bday - so i suppose i deserve this one off;)

I love my caffeine n there`s no 2 ways about it. I don't think I drink caffeine-laden beverages in excess so it`s ok. in other words, belum sampai seru nak cut down,haha. uncle de has been `useful` with our computer and this is why I'm stuck typing from this minute kboard. argh..

Mynn- Do you mean to say you dont have to work at all during the easter break? So who does the calls?
Well, overthere its apt for you to advice the migraine sufferers to avoid chocs and cheese but overhere I have to tell them to avoid MSG, :p
