Was the treasure box originally empty? Or it's how I played it that I can't get to the treasure?

I was quite stuck at the piano bit as when it's about music: i'm totally blind. (but i solved it in the end)
Nisak was great, she solved the piano bit in 2 seconds. but she used to play the piano, and she could read music.
dyanna: regarding whether it's supposed to be empty or not. that's a GOOD QUESTION. when i played it twice: i got the empty box as well.
I think it's meant to be empty as part of the story, but i 100% know.
