As previously mentioned (also in Puan Mama Sarah's blog), during our recent trip we took a total of 800 photos. My photography technique is simple: I take as many photos as I can (i.e until either the memory space becomes full or the batteries - both the original and the spare- run out), so that it becomes mathematically probable that at least 1 or 2 of the photos would look nice enough :D Ha... that's the secret.
Puan Mama Sarah has written an excellent post on the history and the various colleges in Cambridge so please head over there too if you enjoy reading. For those of you who only like to only look at pictures (like me) hope you'd find the tabblo of value.
PS
Can't believe I got a few quite nice comments on the tabblo page *^_^*

Nice technique of photography you got there (in reference to the mass snapping of sceneries)
But really, the pictures look lovely. When am I going to get my own camera....
gee hiyoshi thanks...
as for me, can't wait to get a BETTER camera ... hahaha.
cant afford one at the moment (unless pecah piggy bank)
ps
hiyoshi, digital camera skrng ni are quite inexpensive. in my humble opinion, go for cheap, old models -- they cost so much less than current models but are definitely good enough. example: the canon ixus. (kat UK a new digicam would cost £200-300, an old canon ixus - 5 Megapixel - was only £90!)
btw the photography techniques of taking thousands of photos (i call it the ichi-man-syasyin-no-jutsu) really works. when you take thousands of photos, chances are they'll be at least one with the right exposure, facial expression, pose & orientation nice enough for presentation :):):) haha ....
Pakai continuous shutter ke? OR just trigger happy?
hey sempat buat post!
kalau i tahu, i turun semalam. sebab banyak lagi i nak tulis.
busy lah kemas and planning for other things pulak.
nak gi mana pulak weekend ni PMS? packing2 macam jalan jauh je.
nnydd angin mana pula yang bawa berita ni? monday bank holiday kan? anta pi mana?
Of course with this method, you'd probably get a headache choosing the best ones to put on the blog out of the hundreds and hundreds of photos. :D
I use the "take twice of everything method". Almost like your take thousands method, but for me I take one photo at one setting, and then change it for the next (exposure, shutter, etc).
PMS: Macam nak jumpa Saghah rasa.
moby
yeah, ditto man. i take one scene on average 5 times. like you, i'd also alter the angles, the settings, framing, orientation etc2. then i'd choose the best out of those 5.
nnydd
