Microsoft Private Folder

Microsoft has just released an application for Windows called Private Folder that makes it possible for those who share a PC or an account to store personal files in a seperate password protected encrypted folder that only they may access.
Download

Notes:
  • Before being able to download the software you must first verify your copy of Windows through the Windows Genuine Advantage Program.
  • Apparently the software is causing headaches amongst IT administrators as the software could enable employees to hide files.
  • An Macgyver alternative to Private Folder is to use WinZip to password encrypt your files (via arstechnica.com)
  • Personally, I really like Private Folder, ehem, not that I have anything to hide ...
